Since 1992, George Rodriguez has led security operations at multi-million and billion-dollar corporations, where he built departments that worked closely with HR and Legal to protect employees, executives, and assets across the U.S. and Mexico. He has overseen narcotics and theft investigations, coordinated with law enforcement, and later founded and sold a full-service, State of California-certified security company serving high-profile clients across Southern California.
Fluent in English and Spanish, George holds a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and an HR Management Certification from Villanova University. He also carries numerous professional certifications in executive protection, firearms, investigations, school security, and private patrol operations. His affiliations include ASIS International, the National Rifle Association, and the CA Department of Justice Bureau of Firearms. George also gives back through regular support of fallen-officer fundraising events with the California Highway Patrol.
George Orta is a certified Firearms Instructor with 30 + years of experience in firearms training, personal protection, and safety education. With extensive training from the Law Enforcement National Rifle Association, CA Bureau Security & Investigation Services, the U.S. military, law enforcement, and other teaching techniques on safe firearm handling, defensive shooting techniques, and situational awareness. Mr. Orta is also a shotgun expert with a vast knowledge of use and de-escalation training.
Dedicated to promoting responsible gun ownership, Mr. Orta has instructed civilian students, military, and law enforcement, ranging from first-time gun owners to advanced shooters. Mr. Orta’s teaching style emphasizes safety, confidence, and practical skills tailored to real-world scenarios.

Frequently Asked Questions
No prior experience is required. The course is designed for both beginners and experienced shooters, covering everything from handgun basics to California laws and safe carry practices.
You’ll have 30 days of access from the date of enrollment. Most students complete the course in just a few days, but the full month ensures you have plenty of time.
The certification is valid for 2 years. We'll send you a reminder when it's time to renew your certification.
Once you complete the course and pass the quizzes, you’ll receive a certificate of completion from JRC Consulting. You’ll submit an online form with required information, then schedule your range qualification.
Yes. Along with the online portion, you must complete your live qualification with the Sheriff’s Department to finalize your renewal.
During enrollment, you’ll select how many firearms you want certified (1–10). Inside the course, you’ll complete a form to provide details (make, model, caliber, serial number) for each firearm. ⚠️ You may only register the number of firearms paid for at checkout.
